Mongolia
Red and blue bands with the soyombo.
History and symbolism
Two red bands flank a blue stripe of the eternal sky, and the hoist band bears the golden soyombo of fire, sun, moon, triangles, rectangles and paired opposites. The soyombo has marked the state since the 1910s, and the communist star above it was removed in 1992.
