Venezuela
Yellow, blue and red bands with an arc of stars.
History and symbolism
The bands raised by Miranda and carried by Bolivar bear an arc of eight stars. Seven stand for the provinces that signed the declaration of independence of 1811, and the eighth, for Guayana, was added by the reform of 2006. The state flag adds the arms.
