Canada
Red and white with the red maple leaf.
History and symbolism
The red, white and red pattern with an eleven point stylized maple leaf was adopted in 1965 after a long national debate. The leaf had symbolized Canada since the 19th century and the final form was refined by Jacques Saint Cyr.
